Can I Sue the Military?

Requirements

We represent people and businesses that have been wronged by the military or by Veteran Affairs. Dependents, retirees, civilian employees, and unaffiliated civilians are eligible to sue. Think of the military as any big company — if that company is responsible for a wrong you have suffered, you are generally able to seek financial compensation.

Unfortunately, most active duty members of the military CANNOT sue the military. If you have been injured or wronged by the military while you were on active duty we likely cannot help, but please feel free to send a contact message to help us make a determination.

Suing the military

Each of our attorneys have been involved in military justice and military legal matters for more than a decade each. In that time, we have seen that people connected to the military are injured, their property is damaged, or they suffer some form of discrimination in their dealings with the military. Often, it’s even just regular civilians that suffer property damage or personal injury from the negligent actions of military members either in their official capacity or not. We have even seen perfectly healthy dependent spouses seek simple medical treatment at military hospitals, only to suffer life-long injury or even death at the hands of unqualified military hospital staff. All of these situations are ripe for financial recovery.

Areas of Practice

Our firm is one of the only law firms that have a dedicated focus on lawsuits against the federal government for military related matters. We are willing to explore the viability of many different types of claims and lawsuits against the military. The following areas of focus are the most frequent types of cases we handle.
